Here it is! BONEDIGGRE BYTE-SIZE episode 01, in which I talk for a good while about BOKTAI: THE SUN IS IN YOUR HAND (2003, GBA, Konami Computer Entertainment Japan).
This thing took a freakin’ while, let me tell you. As noted in the video description, I recorded the audio for it in May of TWENTY TWENTY-FOUR, and since then, I have lived in six (count ’em–SIX) different households, two different countries, and two different states. Talk about SHAKING THINGS UP!
But seriously, if you’re here, reading this post, thank you. Thank you for being here, reading this post. This has been a labor of love for Colin and me, and the hope (and plan) is for this to be the first of many, and, as this has been a proof-of-concept exercise for us (and you!), the DOUBLE HOPE is that future episodes will take a lot less time to develop and produce. In fact, we have about three scripts in the works for future BYTES to SIZE, and one of them is just about ready for recording. That one is gonna be a doozie–I’m gonna actually show my face for that one! And no, I’m not nervous at all! YOU’RE nervous!
I will also mention again how Matt from TYPEBAR MAGAZINE pretty miuch gave birth to this concept. Or, well. Colin and I gave birth to it, so I guess he, uh. Quickened it? Maybe he planted the seed. Though if I put it like that, it sounds like a sex metaphor. As well all know by now, I DON’T USUALLY CREATE THOSE ON PURPOSE. But, well, here we are again, and I have walked into another weird innuendo analogy. Funny how these things keep happening. BUT STILL, thanks and kudos and praise and whatever else should still go to Matt, because without him telling me that the way I drafted the article that preceded this essay was VERY YOUTUBEY, I may not have made it into A YOUTUBEY THING, and this website itself may not have ever existed. At least, not in its current form.
