Character art from my unfinished thesis film, “The Ringing of the Hour.” One of three dancers that were set to be featured heavily in the film, each based on different classmates. I might post the other two if I can find them, but this was my favorite of the bunch.
Since the film took place over a late afternoon, into a night of festivities, then into the next morning, the main characters were set to have both a “day palette” and a “night palette,” but the dancers only appear on a brightly lit stage, so I kept just the one “day palette” even though the dancers actually appeared during the ‘night’ segment of the film. How about that!
